BIOS files and Reicast
-
I read the documentation, and I can't seem to figure out how the BIOS works. I've got the two correct files for Reicast, I put them on my USB drive in the file folder, and loaded it back onto the Pi (atleast, I'm assuming that the BIOS files transfer the same way roms and isos do), and it says no BIOS found. I don't know if there needs to be a specific folder for Dreamcast in the BIOS folder, or that I'm supposed to just drag and drop those two BIOS files into the BIOS folder itself and call it done.
I should probably also state that I'm absolutely new to RPI, Retropie and any sort of coding, so without proper explanation, it looks like hieroglyphics to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Cannonmouth They don't transfer through usb like roms do.
The easiest way is to connect your RPi to the same network as your computer. Then on your computer open explorer and typ \\retropie in the window and hit enter. This should bring the Bios folder right up and then just drop the bios files in there. -
@BobHarris Thank you for replying. I figured that it might not transfer in the same way. Is there an easy guide or YouTube video that I can look up or if you happen to know of that will teach me how to do the network transfer?

@Cannonmouth ETA Prime on youtube has lots of useful videos, I think he covers this as well. But it's like I said: Connect your Pi with an ethernet cable or wifi. Then on your computer open up windows explorer and write \\retropie in the window and press enter. This will give you access to the folder in your Pi where your roms and bioses(?) are stored.

@BobHarris Thank you again. I've been scouring Google, and you honestly just explained that in far simpler terms than I've been able to find.

@Cannonmouth You're welcome! I've been using the RPi for only a week now, but it's been a very educational week, so I enjoy passing some of that newfound knowledge on. :-)

@BobHarris Thank you again, Mr. Harris. I wish I knew more about this stuff, but I'm glad someone like you was around to rescue me from the swirling questions. If I knew how to like your posts, I would, but again, I'm still getting the hang of this. On a side note, you wouldn't know how to configure the 8Bitdo FC30 Pro to the Reicast, would you? I know there has to be a way, but from my comprehension level, it's akin to building an app. Lol.

@Cannonmouth Sorry, no I don't. All my controllers are recognized instantly so I never needed to look into that.
