Hi there, new retropie user. I followed the github wiki, i have the bios, two games, castlevania x and super air zonk. Both boots to a black screen then back to game list.

Is there a way to make scraping automatic or AT LEAST not having to re-do it ALL because i have added
      roms?

      Thanks.

@Eldgrim Press the select button on your ROM, then select Edit This Game's Metadata then Scrape. You can do this to any new ROMS you add after you do the initial scrape after a fresh install of RetroPie. I'm not sure if this can be done automatically.

I've had the black screen then back to game list problem, and for me it an incorrect filename on the first line of the .cue file. I had all capital letters, whereas the files were lower case (Yes, it is case sensitive). I read the wiki before trying my first PC Engine game too, yet I still had the black screen issue. It's an easy mistake to make for even the best of us! You can also try:
-checking the md5 of your BIOS file
-double checking that your .bin or .iso filename, .cue filename, and the filename on line 1 of your .cue file all match.
-Trying your game on a real PC Engine or using an emulator on a PC such as MagicEngine to see if it works
        -Trying a different game
        Hope this helps

Thank you cardula! I had a problem with bad bios version and cue file with a mix or lower and upper case. Whew!
