hi, just a quick question after reading the update retropie wiki.

is a complete binary install actually required, or with an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade

      we will be fine?

      thanks

Yes, as otherwise you have only updated the Raspbian Packages and will not have any of the emulator updates.

thanks, would a binary install mess up my button mappings?

          thanks

@aaaccc1 it shouldn't, but always wise to backup as mentioned on the wiki
