    mario timer is fast

      i recendly picked up a pi 2 and loaded up retropie( in love with it lol) and ive been running through afew classis games suck as super mario 1-3 on nes and supermario all stars on snes and ive noticed that the timers run super fast.... any one have any ideas? i have tried the diff snes emu's included but it does it on all of them,any one have any ideas how to fix this?

        fergot to mention ive tried both versions 3.6 and 3.7 and both did the same

          @tdodm did you try the original game with original hardware? You'll see that it's the same.

            Are you sure you're not using a PAL rom?

                it seemed the timer ran faster on my pi then my new... ill have to dig out my nes and check

                  These emulators are not 100% cycle-accurate, but they're pretty darn close. Outside of a regional rom issue, any change in timing would be almost imperceivable. Also, if there was a speed shift, you would notice a change in the music and basic game play as well.
