@pjft sounds good. I am interested to see what others have as out of the box, installed es_systems.cfg files. Here is what mine looked like when I installed from a 4.1 image off of the retropie download page.

        Hi guys,

This is an awesome, awesome theme and I would like to install it into my new build. However, I am a noob at Retropie and would like to learn how can I install this awesome theme. What's the easiest and safest way to install a theme?

@ortsac Connect to your pi via something like winSCP and copy the extracted zip into /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/themes and restart emulationstation. That's it

          System: Raspberry 3 Model B, RetroPie 4.2.1
Storage: 16gb Micro SD, 64gb USB Drive
          Theme: Updated NBBA

Another option would be to either hit F4 on your keyboard connected to your RPi or SSH in and type

            git clone https://github.com/TMNTturtleguy/Comic-Book.git /home/pi/.emulationstation/themes/comic-book/

Then reboot either EmulationStation or your RPi.

              Thanks, guys!!!

I used the "git clone" option, had no error messages when the items were cloned into my system.
However, when I shutdown and rebooted the pi it did not show the "comic-book" theme but rather the default Retropie theme. DO I need to modify any config or setup files to direct system to "comic-book"?

@ortsac You have to select it in the UI Settings

@DarkWolf Thanks for all the help on the posts today! I have been traveling for work so I haven't had a good chance to keep up with everything! @edmaul69, I am still working on completing this theme along with making upgrades and optimizations. Once all of the systems are completed and optimized i plan to submit to get this added to the themes downloads through the retropie menu. Until then you will need to download through the github links. I believe @DarkWolf and @backstander just posted 2 methods to install. I will be posting an update in the next few days for the 16:9 version and hopefully for the 4:3 version as well.

I am testing several of the new systems right now....have 21 systems running without errors. Some slight white flash when using slide transition, but not bad for 21 systems!

@TMNTturtlguy wow. It doesn't stop amazing me how much effort you put into this, and how nice it looks. Now I regret not having separate folders for those cps systems :p

                            Well done!

I then decided i would install the 16:9 theme to get the benefit of the additional hard work you guys have put in and just live with a windowed appearance on my setup for the time being.
However after installing the 16:9 theme my display is not windowed, nothing appears to be cut off and the theme is displayed in all its glory in full screen.
To be honest I'm not sure how or why this has worked but i am not going to tempt fate by changing anything now (until another update is released.

Believe it or not, I am hard a work on the 4:3 theme right now and wanted to check on what you had posted earlier about the 16:9 working properly on your 4:3 display. I installed both themes on my 4:3 and ran tests, and the themes are working properly on my end. The 4:3 theme shows as it should, the 16:9 "Squeezes" the background image and the black line boarder runs off the screen. I am glad whatever you did is working for you, but i am not sure how that is? Here are my screenshots:

@pjft me too. All mine are in one folder. I have all of the capcom fba roms all in one capcom folder. @TMNTturtlguy any chance you could wip up a capcom logo? I can mix and match pics from the cps backgrounds to make a universal one.

@edmaul69 what I meant was that I have them all in the arcade folder, and when needed just filter by Capcom:)

@pjft i knew what you meant. I was just stating that i had mine in one capcom folder which would still require me to seperate them. Which i guess i could do...
