      Hello there, i`m jim

I`m using retropie v4.2 on a raspberry pi2 and installed libretro-tyrquake, quake 1 and episode 5-dopa working fine but mission pack 1 and 2 are not working, when i click to them they return me back to the main menu of retropie/ports i followed the instructions here "https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Quake"

darkplaces quake engine works perfect but lr-tyrquake only works with quake1 and dopa

I appreciate if you can help me

      Thank you :)

@symbio24 No, it's not ok to be rude to me when I'm trying to help. Tags are entered underneath the main edit box. They should be keywords related to your post like "quake".

@Buzz hi! I'm having the same problem as Symbio above MINUS the poor netiquette/attitude! I am a very humble and considerate user and would be grateful for any help you can give me!

I'm running RetroPie 4.2, tyrquake and dark places. Absolutely stumped why the two Mission packs won't run and just kick me back to the Ports menu. I followed all directions yet a menu item for each mission pack was NOT created. I even created the .SH run files from scratch with the correct code but still no go.

                Any help appreciated! :))

Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first (please open a new topic when reporting issues rather than adding to old topics - could be completely unrelated)

There was an issue fixed recently - https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/2006 - there is also an upstrream bug that causes a crash - https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/2055

if you have the first issue, you can move the installed location of the games (check the wiki which has been updated also) and update all packages. Second issue is not yet fixed (needs to be fixed upstream).

@BuZz Worked like a champ! Thanks a lot! Its been over 20 years since I have run those missions! Very happy camper here. Been trying to get those to work for weeks now...

I am new here but definitely I have read and am clear with the forum rules and policies. And will keep in mind for my next posting. :))

No worries. If anybody is having trouble with Quake, make sure to update lr-tyrquake and refer to the wiki which I have recently updated with the proper instructions on where to place the data files.

I also just added instructions on how to add the soundtrack files for the base game and both mission packs that I confirmed as working with lr-tyrquake (and I think will work with the other ports as well).
