    hey

so i'm using a java program with runs uses java swing gui i'm auto launching this java application doing boot using this method link text

from my java program, i can then launch emulation station using this terminal command

    sudo -u pi env DISPLAY=:0 XAUTHORITY=/home/whoever/.Xauthority emulationstation

my problem is that once i'm in emulation station and tray to run any rom it trays to run bot fails and returns back to emulation station after a few seconds i think the problem the same as when i need to launch emulation station that run command needs to specify which sessions and xauthority runs the rom

@simondid Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

No idea what system you are on or anything else.

If you are running under X I assume you are running on a PC ? It needs to be launched attached to a TTY.
