Installing emulators from binary on pi zero- No WIFI
-
@Seeker I think you can do some tricks to achieve it. But it depends on your Linux knowledge.
You can look the dosbox.sh scriptmodule and get some inspiration. But it would be too hacky...I don't want to discourage you in any way, but maybe it's better/easier to find a way to connect your pizero...
-
@Seeker Wow! I've googled about some ways to do what you want and found it: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/41889/how-can-i-chroot-into-a-filesystem-with-a-different-architechture
Some of the answers/comments made me believe that there's a hope! Sure I'll try it when I found some time!
Looks like we can chroot to a mounted img file using qemu tools and run binaries from ARM architecture...
-
That looks interesting, I'll check it out!
-
Hey I have done that before with my pi!

Tell us more about it.

What OS do you have on you main computer @Seeker ?
-
If you have windows, follow these steps:
-
If you use ubuntu (or other types of linux)
Install gparted from the software center, use gparted to format the SD card, then use the downloaded disk image and use the pre-installed disk imager to image the disk. It works that way I tried it.
-
But I don't know about mac, it may/ should be similar to windows

So you mean make an image of the emulator we want, transfer to SD card and it will auto install?
-
Oh the emulator? I thought you were talking about installing the os. Sorry
-
I have to go now... sorry! I wish you luck!
