Retropie 3.7 - WiFi network not listed

I am not aware of any bug in the retropie's wifi tool, but sometimes, I have to do multiple scans for my wi-fi network to appear (there are lots of them near my house).
You can get more details of the wifi networks, like signal strenght, etc, by running some commands in terminal, for example:

sudo iwlist wlan0 scan

I've just tried that and it does indeed find the my AP via the terminal, popping back in to Retro Setup I can also see the AP there too listed against "0". Unfortunately being my luck it tries to connect and pops up with the old "Unable to connect to network" window and upon closing returns to the list of AP's with the name having vanished against "0".

I'm having this same issue. I also tried the wifi globalization setting with no luck.

Please send me privately the contents of output.txt when running "iwlist wlan0 scan >output.txt" to buzz [at] exotica.org.uk - it's possible the code in our tool is not parsing the output correctly in your case (please let me know which is your network also)

I tried to do it myself, and this is the result
"wlan0 Interface doesn't support scanning."

wlan0 isn't even showing up as a usable interface

hmm. I'm sure it works on my RPI3. Are you running from the latest RetroPie image ?

I just noticed that the 3.8 image is available. I will flash that and give it a go. I'll report back. (I was using 3.7 when reporting to this post initially)

To add to this discussion - I am having a similar on 3 different Raspberry Pi Zeroes - 1 has RetroPie 3.8 and the other 2 have 3.7. The first time I power on the RPi and attempt to connect it to a new network it will show all of the available networks - I select my network, enter the WPA2 password and it fails to connect. If I try to connect to a network again, no networks will be listed. I figured out that if I reboot the RPi after the initial failure the WiFi DOES connect using the saved credentials after restart.

Had the exact same issues.
Tried switching my keyboard settings. Tried the WiFikey.txt file. Tried switching to a higher power power supply. All to no avail.
Also flashed raspbian to my 'Zero W'... Same problems "no network adapters found". What started to ring bells was that also the Bluetooth adapter wasn't found.
