      Hi forum!! I try to configure the xbox360 and xbox one controller wireless with retropie 4.2. I need the xbox adapter?? or I can use them with raspberry bluetooth (like dualshock3)??? Thanks!!

        @oleguer you need the adapters. Not sure how well the xbox one one is as they are listed as windows 10 only. But the xbox 360 ones work good.

          @edmaul69 thanks for your reply!! on xbox360 need the official adapter of microsoft..... and have no way to conect using raspberry pi bluetooth??? you know the xbox one need the same adapter??

            @oleguer the xbox one has its own adapter. It is listed as windows 10 only so i have no clue if it will work.

            The xbox 360 has official and aftermarket adapters. Both work. I have only used the official one and it worked great.

            You cant use bluetooth on microsoft brand controllers.

                For what it's worth ... the older Xbox (pre Xbox One S) wireless controllers do not use Bluetooth, as far as I know. The newer Xbox One S controllers, however, do have Bluetooth. Whether they work with the Pi, I don't yet know.

                  @bollwerk they do work.

                  There's a post from several months back detailing how to get the One S controller working on the Pi3 using bluetooth.
