    Emulationstation crashes on startup. It prints this message in the console. Any ideas of what I've done to break it?

      You did nothing wrong, someone simply forgot to handle a corner case in the source code.

        @fluffypillow Well, I must have triggered that corner case anyhow. I'll have to identify it, then.

          To recapitulate, EmulationStation always crashes on startup when I have "ParseGamelistOnly" set to "true" with the following message:

          terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range'
          what(): basic_string::sucbstr: _pos (which is 27) > this->size() (which is 22)
          aborted

          I'm using the latest EmulationStation version compiled from source to be able to use custom carousel themes. Of course I could just leave that setting set to "false" but that defeats the point of having the option.
          Any ideas of what could be causing the problem?

          Thanks in advance.
