Like the title says I can't open my runcommand even though it knows I press a button, I know this because the runcommand splash screen gets cut off when I press a controller button or keyboard button.
The only files I've messed with is /etc/init.d/asplashscreen were I deleted
-o both -b so my start up splash screen doesn't get cut off.
The other file is /boot/cmdline.txt were I changed console=tty1 to console=tty3 and I add logo.nologo but then deleted it again.
It's not really a big problem since I have to restart a bunch and then press multiple keys in my keyboard to work, it's just annoying, and I hate it.

@SonPluck It wasn't clear to me if you are wanting to access the runcommand menu. I'm assuming that it's the case.

The runcommand splashscreen is more commonly known as launching images, exactly to avoid confusion with startup splashscreens. The configs you messed have nothing to do with runcommand launching images.

Try to press the buttons/key several time and see if the runcommand menu appears.

This is an old issue but, I have something to add. The button response, is only accepted right after the dialog/launching.png disappears. There is it seems, either a huge delay, or joy2key won't trigger until the end of the script. I'm guessing this could be fixed, its worth fixing. Additional features should be added to run command as well, though I can't think of any good ones right now.
