      I think:
      Slide / Fade / Instant / ?

(i would offer an opinion for NONE but i'm not sure what the different from INSTANT is? Could you explain? Is it that the carousel doesnt scroll and just instantly changes also?)

        SLIDE, LOGO SLIDE, and INSTANT

        (instant being "none").

        Actually, why not "None"?

          Ok I jumped on GitHub

Instant make Backgrounds show up super fast and keeps the slide animation for the carousel but makes it seem like it's on crack(speedy).

None just uses no transitions, so everything just appears quickly with no animation/transition.

Currently it has been renamed to Slide/Fade/SimpleSlide/Instant, instant being none

That's what i thought, this is my vote:
              SLIDE / FADE / SNAP / NONE

"Snap" being instant with scrolling carousel - i think it's a good name since it's "snappy" and it's a clean 4 letter word that has some charm. And NONE is no transition, which makes sense for the function

@Capeman I like these names. @BuZz what do you think?

@Hex I don't mind them, but I just did a 2.2.0 release and rebuilt binaries, so I don't want to change them now.

So does this mean the binaries are currently up-to-date?

@Syhles yes. You should update retropie-setup script also to benefit from the new hotkey enable button configuration. ES now allows configuration of the retroarch hotkey enable button for those that want to choose a hotkey enable button other than "select".

@Capeman Can you prepend to the title "[Solved]:" or some other alternate tag to indicate that your request was incorporated and is still not pending. Thanks
