I did a fresh install of RetroPie 4.1 and installed Kodi. When exiting Kodi there is now only one option, Exit. What happened to the Shutdown option ? So now if I want to safetly Shutdown my Pi from within Kodi my only option is to 'Exit' back to EmulationStation and then choose 'Shutdown'. What was the reason for removing the 'Shutdown' option in Kodi ?

@windale I think it has something to do with how it's started kodi vs kodi-standalone, also I vaguely remember in the past the first time I started it it only had exit. But then the second shutdown showed up as an option. Haven't tested the latest build yet though so don't quote me on it.

Yeah, I just tried Kodi again and now all the Exit options are displayed, weird.

I'm still having this problem with my Kodi installation. At one time I had the full "shutdown", "restart", etc. menu, but for the past few months I've only had exit. How can I get the full menu back?

@uzanto reboot and all the options should appear.

@rascas I tried that, but still without shutdown restart options, I'm updating the system now.

@uzanto How are you starting Kodi exactly ? From the Ports menu, from terminal or had you changed something about how do you start it ? The fact that options like reboot and shutdown doesn't appear, has to do with the internal OS permissions or configuration/customization, not with Kodi itself.
