Running roms off usb drive
-
@stevep Ah, Man... Seriously. Come on! Put more effort into your post than that. Really? I thought you were better than that. Every post / request for help should be self-contained. No -one should have to read your post history to help you.
-
I dont think I can make it any clearer than what I stated...if that is a problem for you I guess I'm just not as smart as you..
-
@stevep Good luck figuring it out on your own. It was advice. Ignore it if you want.
-
@stevep AlexMurphy's tone is offensive, but don't let it get in the way. Basically, we just need to know what kind of RetroPie setup you are using so we can help you. (see dankcushions' post)
-
@felleg What in the name of the good great lord has my "tone" got to do with you?
-
@AlexMurphy I guess I meant intimidating, or not very welcoming. I know you help much more people on the forum than me and are maybe tired of always seeing similar questions, so don't mind me.

Hey Mr Murphy....don't bother answering any of my "lazy" posts anymore. I don't need your uppity attitude. I'm sure there are plenty of others that won't mind helping me out .I'm pretty new at this and I thought this was a friendly forum...I don't need to be ridiculed ....you sound like a spoiled 18 year old
-
@stevep You sound like a n easily offended

@felleg Thanks for your support...Mr Murphy sounds like a spoiled brat.....anyway I'm running retropie 4.2. I followed the instructions to the letter https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive
but when I reboot it tells me I have no systems installed.....since I posted that ,I removed the usb drive from the pi and it's back to normal(thank God) but I still would like to run my games off of a usb stick...any suggestions? -
@AlexMurphy Sorry about that sonny....you are obviously a lot younger than I thought....you will be reported for using foul language
-
@stevep Have you tried licking a fork and sticking it in your mouth and then the outlet...? That's a joke. PLEASE don't do that. PLEASE!
-
@stevep Well, first of all, do you have a RetroPie/roms/<systems> architecture on your USB stick? Also, do you have any games stored on your USB, for example Mario Bros. in RetroPie/roms/nes/ ?
EDIT: just realized this is not how the automatic mount method is supposed to work... hmm. @stevep, can you provide a bit more details as to which folder/file is where in your directories?
Also, what is giving you the "we can't find any systems"? The terminal prompt? The retropie script? EmulationStation? To me, it looks like it's not finding the RetroPie structure it expects to find
-
@I would like to report AlexMurphy for using foul language on this forum. Check his posts regarding me. He should be removed from this forum for his abhorrent behavior!!
-
@stevepReport [removed]. I'm 40 and if I ever meet you,I will hurt you, in a bad way.
