      Hey guys! Just bought my very first pi 3 yesterday and having/had some issues with installing retropie on the microsd. I downloaded Win32DiskImager and after a few attempts I kept getting error 1117. I tried on another computer and it worked.

      My main question is once I burned the image, my computer was telling me that I then had only 58.7mb of space left on the card. It's a 32gb card and I've been reading that retropie takes up a little over 2gb. Is this normal that it took just about the whole card? Maybe I misread the total amount of space that it takes.

      Thanks

        @PsychoPoo

        have you tried expanding the file system within retropie?

        goto into the retropie setup menu
        select Raspi-Config
        choose option 7 (Advance Options)
        then choose A1 Expand Filesystem

        hope that helps :)

            i agree with @rbaker

            you most likly will have 28 or 27 gig left to store your games, but windows will never show you anything.

            you will need to use a USB stick to transfer your games here this way will be the easiest way for you

              Thanks for the help guys! I ran the df -h and it looks like I have 27 gigs left if im reading it correctly and moving the games over by usb drive worked like a charm.
