GPIOs and Controlblock
-
Hi there,
I am using the Controlblock and want to use the other GPIO Pins for other hardware buttons and controller connections which are not supported by the controlblock (e.g. Megadrive controller).
I set up everything but I have some problems with the GPIOs.
PSX controller is not working and when Im using the db9 driver for the megdadrive controller the system behaves strangely. Anyone else has some problems with controlblock and GPIOs?
Maybe the Controlblock is blocking some functionalitys from the GPIOs?
Thanks for the help!

The ControlBlock supports Megadrive controllers - that was added with a recent update, see also here.
You can find a detailed list of GPIO pins that are used by the ControlBlock under "GPIO Pins Used by the ControlBlock" at https://blog.petrockblock.com/controlblock/.

@petrockblog awesome! great to hear that! Thank you for the info. Will update now.
Is there any plan for other controller support?
And does the megadrive/Genesis driver support other db9 controller like Atari or Amiga?Edit: I installed now the new version of Controlblock2 but in the default controlblockconfig.cfg there is no Genesis mentioned. I followed the steps on https://github.com/petrockblog/ControlBlockService2#prerequisites
do i need to update anything after the installation? -
The Genesis/Megadrive support is described in the driver README at https://github.com/petrockblog/ControlBlockService2#configuration: You need to set "genesis" as gamepad type. Other db9 controllers like the Atari ones are also supported with that type :-)
