SNES Controller works in all Consoles except for NES?
-
I have the most current version of Retropie and Raspberry Pi, as well as an original SNES controller that I use via a RetroUSB adaptor. It works perfect for all consoles and Retropie menus, but when I load a NES game, the controller is unresponsive.
Could someone point me in the right direction? Appreciate the help.

We really need more to go on. The required information is detailed at https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Also, "latest" or "most current" can mean a few things, so a version number would help.

Sorry! I thought maybe these symptoms would point to something obvious that I'm doing wrong.
- Canakit Pi 3 w/2.5A MicroUSB Power Supply
- Retropie 4.2.7
- Built from Premade Image
- One USB device connected: SNES controller with RetroUSB adaptor
When a game is starting, there's a message at the bottom left of the screen: 100%: HuiJa Gamepad Gamepad configured in Port #0 (and then quickly switches to the same message but port #1)
This message appears regardless of which console I launch. However, in NES, no buttons work. I can't even use Start/Select to exit the game.
Thanks for any possible insights

Can you post the contents of
/opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg
? Be sure to wrap it in code blocks or use pastebin. -

looking in other consoles in that config folder (that do work), these two lines aren't there:
input_player1_joypad_index = "0"
input_player1_analog_dpad_mode = "1" -
Looks like that's it. Delete those two lines and you should be good.
