Problem pairing second 'PS3' Controller via Bluetooth
-
Fresh build of 4.2 on a new Pi3. My controllers are PS3 knockoffs from Amazon, they are identical as far as I can tell from the outside.
I was able to get one controller paired using the Gasia Clone driver option, both controllers will work individually but refuse to pair at the same time.
I've dug around for a few days and haven't been able to find anything that has led me to a solution. I'm not sure if it's related, but I also have not been able to reconnect the controller if it automatically turns off from no use. I've tried adding “sudo hciconfig hci0 up piscan” to /etc/init.d/rc.local and adding "sixad --start &" to /etc/rc.local but neither has worked.
Thank you in advance.

@reksav i think you will need a usb bluetooth dongle to set up a second one.

@edmaul69 I was actually able to get it to work. I tried a different ps3controller option, Shanwan Clone, and both controllers immediately connected. Problem solved, hooray!
edit: This also seems to have solved my Bluetooth reconnect issues as well. If anybody else is having the issues that I was, I suggest trying a few of the other ps3bluetooth driver options.
