      Hi Everyone

I managed to get the Xin Mo working with FBA but when I went into Mame, press TAB and try to change the inputs, it doesn't seem to recognise any of the buttons. I thought this issue was because of the Xin Mo board so I try changing one of the input to a key on the keyboard and it wouldn't register that either.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.
      Thanks

It may well depend on the version of MAME that you are trying it with but I find that the order that you do things to configure does seem to matter when using things like the Xin Mo and the IPac boards. Firstly, starting with a clean install and your Xin Mo connected, you should boot with an actual keyboard attached. The keyboard will be detected and you can input the required key controls and note them down. Once finished, disconnect the keyboard. The controls should now operate for ES and Libretro cores with one player only. This worked for me with an Ipac after getting the same problems. Now for MAME4All and AdvMAME, they should not be a problem as you can press TAB whilst the keyboard is connected and then configure the controls directly. To get two player, you should edit the retroarch.cfg file accordingly using the information in this thread.

Thanks for the reply. I finally gave up and just reinstalled Retropie and now it's all working.
