@Hex From time to time contributors submit PRs to that repo and @herb_fargus usually merges them.
Not always @lilbud remember to submit his work to the repo and another contributor does it... I submitted some splashscreens made by @Rookervik recently.

Summing up: there's no really uptodate repo with those images, but retropie-splashscreens-extra repo seems to be the best place to look for them.

edit: by the way, you can download every image of the repo using the splashscreen scriptmodule (RetroPie-Setup).

@meleu To be honest, I forget about the splashscreen repo sometimes. All of my splashscreens are either stored on my computer, this post, or some are on Github.

@lilbud if you get github desktop you can create a repository and link it to a folder location on your computer. Every file you put into that folder is then updated in github desktop and all you need to do is commit them and push to the repository. It is 2 clicks of a button and all your files are updated to github. Pretty slick and all the files are on your computer.

@TMNTturtlguy Not a fan of GitHub desktop, pretty much crashed my computer last time I tried to run it.

where do you get your fonts from ? id like to do an R-type one.

I usually search up "cool fonts" or "mario fonts" and that's how it gets me directly to the font itself.

Google is your friend. :D

@itsnitro Exactly, search for fonts the same way you'd look for ROMs.

here we go, it turned out to not be that hard to make this from the original image without the font, a little microsoft paint action and its done.

@spruce_m00se where did the original image come from? "licensed to nintendo of america"? Was this the virtual console version? If it's not, I'm 100% confused.

@felleg you know what? I have no idea, lol, I googled it on my lunch break and just picked the one closest to what I remember. it must be a virtual console version, Im pretty sure Im going to have to change it anyway to the sega version, as thats what I played as a kid. I might make some whitty text for people to read instead of leaving it as normal.

Im half playing with the idea of making an intro video like in the game but with these letters.
