Doing business with Mausberry?!
-
@happygreens7 unfortunately i deal with several people like that. However, i like their products so i just deal with it.
-
@happygreens7 what has this got to do with RetroPie?
-
@BuZz Can this post be removed? I don't see the relevance. It's hardly a help or support request. Just sounds like someone venting about a company that has nothing to do with RetroPie. If this remains up people may associate this buyers poor experiece with RetroPie.

I don't agree with you this time. :-)
I was just looking through this forum for information about that company and I am glad and at the same time dissapointed to read such worrying feedback about them.
I think such feedback should stay here so people can read and know what they are getting into if doing business with them. Wish I had done a quick search before placing an order.I ordered and paid for my Mausberry on 3rd March, product was in stock at that time.
I then received an email from them 3 days later asking to confirm the shipping address because they couldn't print out the label.
So I replied and since then....dead silence.
I then wrote them 3 emails from 2 different mail accounts just in case and asked them to confirm my previous replies, especially the one with my address.
...today 9th March, no reply.
Order status still saying "confirmed". Shop system does not have a customer account feature so no login possible.
I am usually patient and don't mind 2-3 weeks shipping time like most of the free shipping stuff from china but not replying within latest 48hours is not good customer care.
At this point I have no clue what's going on with my order. I don't care/worry about the money but I have a project waiting that needs that Mausberry and that is all I care.
Too bad you cannot get that thing at other stores that have a bit better communication skills. -
I haven't done business with them and it might have been on backorder like @edmaul69 mentioned but I feel it is customary for them to let their customer know this and at least give an ETA.
I don't think this post should be deleted...if anything maybe just moved to the ControlBlock, PowerBlock & Co. section.

Patience

Same problem here, order placed and payed 14 feb, no reply to email, no conformation, nothing...
I made a claim with paypal for a refund. Never again with mausberry ! -
Any news on this? I ordered last week, received a confirmation, but no word on shipping. Not used to business like this.

Patience

If I pay money I have no reason to be patient actually. I want to know what is done with my money. And apparently nothing is done with it.

Small business. You'll get the circuit
-
In a month, or what? I wouldn't consider this a professional business. They actually might state that on their website. How hard is it to mail a small circuit board anyway? If I pay for shipping I want some decent delivery speed as well. We are not dealing with China, are we?

Welcome to the club.
It took 2.5 months for me. (Living in Japan)
Waited 1 month, wrote 3 e-mails no answer.
Filed claim through paypal and suddenly first sign of communication, item shipped mail received.
From then on another 1.5 months.
Nearly lost motivation to finish my project.Who ever is behind that company can call themselfs lucky to have such a unique product. I am sure if someone would ever sell a similar product with better communication skills and faster shipping they could kiss their business good-bye.
For paid shipping this was the slowest ever.
If it would have been china free shipping I would understand. -
I guess I will file a PayPal claim then as well... :)
-
That really stinks because their products seem to be made well and at least with the ones that I bought, they work well. Both times I ordered it took about two weeks for the board to arrive, but that was a few months ago.
-
I sent them a message through PayPal. If they don't respond I will ask my money back and buy a PowerBlock or something similar. Even if the product is fine, I don't think someone should get in a business like this if he isn't able to run one properly. At least communicate shipping times.
-
Just to follow up on this. Right after opening a PayPal claim I received an automated "shipped" message with tracking code (waiting for pickup). Nothing happened for days again, so I asked my money back (I was going to buy a PowerBlock) and asked PayPal to actually step in. Another few days later (still not one message from the seller) the package was picked up by USPS.
Today it arrived and I am sure it will work well. But I would no-one recommend this seller, what an arrogant &*%.I ended up also ordering the PowerBlock and it arrived also today. Florian communicated very well and I am sure he's a real good guy. For my use the Mausberry just suits better, but I prefer dealing with Petrockblog over the mess Mausberry is. Again and again.

I've just ordered a switch from there, wish me luck!! lol

Same issue here, placed an order two weeks ago and have not heard or seen anything from this unprofessional business at all. There has been no response either to any of the messages I have shot over. I have noticed one thing though, there is a Shopify sub-site (like Amazon vendors) then there is the direct website. I have shot copy/pasted messages to both and am still waiting. I liked their design of plug n' play over Powerblock's (at the time I ordered Mausberry's) out of stock and seemingly harder to deal with setup of the block. I could be very wrong with the setup of Powerblock, this is also my first Retropie/Raspberry project.

@sfc_k Mine arrived in the end and I'm very happy with the product, hopefully yours turns up soon :)
