Raspian not working after manual RetroPie install
-
I got a Canakit Raspberry pi 3 kit with a noobs SD card and it worked great. I decided i wanted raspian, so i downloaded that. I then chose to do a manual install, so I could have both retropie and raspian on one sd card. I did all the instructions from the official site on how to install retropie over raspian. Emulation Station and Retropie work great, but now raspian boots for a few seconds, then goes straight to the command line. I want to use raspian, so what do i do?

@msnyder I need to update the main docs when I get the chance as it has some key information :
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Manual-Installation#boot-to-emulationstation
If you're booting to the desktop you'll want to disable the retropie splashscreen from the setup script first.

@herb_fargus Thank you so much. I disabled it and it worked like a charm. I didnt see it in the documents, but ill make sure to read them really thouroughly the next time

@msnyder there is currently a discrepancy between the GitHub wiki and the pretty docs, and that's my fault so depending on which you looked at that line may not be there.
Once I sort out a bug in the build process I'm hoping this won't be an issue in the future.
