Awesome theme!! Love it :)
1 thing though I saw that moonlight was missing from your system list. Will it be okay if I make it for you and upload it here for others? If you like it you may add it to the theme :)
Your choiceGreetings!

Thanks, but I'd rather do all the systems myself so that everything looks as I want it to. Steam is already on my to do list (see first post in this topic).

Hey,
I love the simplicity of your theme !
Will release soon my own retropie preloaded image with your theme if you don't mind ?
I have some work before though, because I want to create my own png's instead of low quality boxarts.
This is what my custom art will look like (have to create one for each game)
-
ruckage, I have a question regarding the png's i want to create.
What is the optimum size for them, If I don't want ES to resize them and lose quality ?
I found myself that it was 464x464 isn't it ?
-
@ruckage aah sorry didn't see it, was looking for the word moonlight :)

Your screenshots look nice, I like them. You aren't doing that by hand though are you? It would take forever. You should either code something to compose those images (I often do that myselft). Or universal XMl Scraper could probably achieve a similar effect.
And yes, the image area is 464x464 at 1080p.
I'm a little concerned by you saying that you are releasing a pre-loaded retropie image. I'm assuming by that you mean an image containing roms - that's frowned upon around here.
-
@ruckage I dont want to come out as nagging you but I would really appreciate DOS system support. My setup has 4 systems, Dos, GB, NES and SNES. The theme looks incomplete as dos in always on carousel as Black box.
-
@hex
It will probably be in the next batch but can't say when exactly - I have quite a few things I'm working on at the moment and so my time is divided. -
@hex I actually made some simple custom stuff for dosbox yesterday.
https://www.mediafire.com/?j7ea21pi12o1h3jStill need to tweak some of the colors. @ruckage, your version will probably be much better than my attempt :P
-
Thanks for reply.
No, an image containing only artworks !
I can create batches in paint shop pro for that, yes.
Universal XML scraper is not bad but you can't really do what you want.

Oh btw, will your theme support the new ES features (favorites, all games, last played, etc.) ?
-
Testing out some other layouts :
The solution for taller sprites : cut-out.
-
Those layouts look good, though it looks like it would be a very manual process as you'd have to position the screenshots by hand so that the characters are the focus, are you planning on doing all games for all systems or just select games?

Yes, I've been working on those amongst other things. Here are the icons for 'Favourite', and 'Last Played' as proof that I am actually still working on the theme ;).

loved the theme, I'm using it ^^
but, I didn't have found the MSX stuff, so, made it :)
as I used the hotbit as a kid, I used it as reference for the icon ^^ -
@alexribeirodesa Really nice the MSX logo, love it. Many thanks dude :)
-
hello again :)
today I played some MSX, and I really loved icon :D
so, when I'm was playing my brother said "so, we can add some old DOS game too :)" but, as the same the MSX, I didn't have found a DOS, DOSBox or anything like that icon too :(like the MSX, I used some reference from my old computer, for the monitor I used the Samsung Syncmaster 3 as reference, this guy was my very first color monitor for my PC too ^^
I had some questions about the logo, but I chose to use the IBM as it is the IBM PC platform, not DOSBox, MS DOS or PC DOS. Even RetroPie wiki uses the IBM logo xD
so, made it too ^^ hope you guys likes :)
you guys can get all the stuff at https://imgur.com/a/nFS7z
thanks ^^

@bjose2345 thanks \o
I didn't draw for so many year, I'm was just codding, codding and codding :'(
I had so much fun drawing it ^^ I think I'll draw more soon :D -
@alexribeirodesa I hope to see more of your work soon its really nice, love it :)

Sorry if this had been asked before I have searched and been trying to work it out all weekend.. how do I turn on the launch sound?
I been in and out editing lines like a mad man (thankfully I backed up my image as I messed things up on a few times now)
Thanks in advance and sorry again

Wow, this would be perfect with my new "ZNES" mini!
Very impressed with what you did with the cardboard, I used a NES mini clone for my Pi, and made a series of videos of how to add the pie, make buttons work, and usb connectors... also might post one what to do with the leftovers!
