@BuZz i feel really dumb now xD unplugging my controller and using a keyboard worked, if i use my controller when kodi already started control works to navigate in kodi menu, it seems that i need to do this everytime i start kodi if not kodi reboots it self

i tested a bit more, if kodi already started and i plug only the controller without keyboard, it start to reboot again, if i dont use keyboard or controller and use my tv control it works as it should, same with only keyboard and same with keyboard and my controller.

Check if it is not a power related problem. Make sure you are using a good PSU with enough amperes for what you are using with the raspberry pi. PSUs with separate USB cable can be a problem since only the good ones works fine, make sure there isn't problems with your connections.
If it continues, post your Kodi log to get more detail.

i have metro pcs 2.1a charger with 2 usb on it for charging 2 things at the same time, i only use for the raspebrry pi, i dont think is power related because it works fine with the controller and a keyaboard on both usb, but when i put only the controller it reboots infinitly so theres something wrong with my controller, when retropie recognizes my controller it says gasia corp which i think are the fake ps3 controllers? fake ps3 controllers doesnt work well with kodi 16.1?

@alfredox123 there have been some controller incompatibilities that have caused crashes particularly Bluetooth ones.

@Rascas is it possible it's doing the same thing that caused the crash when I added the xboxdrv? I wonder if he removed the Xbox config we add by default will fix his issues

@herb_fargus I don't think so, after we changed the xbox 360 xml the crash was fixed. Kodi 16.1 wasn't changed anymore, and alfredox123 has the latest version already.

@alfredox123 Try using a clean Kodi config. Move or remove /home/pi/.kodi
You are also using a PSU with a separate USB cable + overclocking and that can also be problematic. Try with a single piece PSU and without overclocking.

The Gasia controller and your other controller aren't supported OOTB. Check the RetroPie and Kodi wikis to learn how to create a custom configs for both. The Gasia controller is confirmed to be working with a custom config, altough it was tested some time ago.

tried removing .kodi folder but didnt work, tried using default clocks but didnt work either. i dont have another psu that can power my rpi1 but theres no other thing on the other female space usb (the psu have 2 usb female holes, not two cables). and the gasia corp controller is the dreamgear arcade fighter pad, retropie refers to gasia corp controller as the dreamgear arcade fighter pad. anything else i could try?

btw the dreamgear arcade fighter pad works great with keyboard attached on the other usb of the rpi1 (if i disconnect the controller when kodi is executing and after is completly running i plug the controller) all buttons works in the kodi menu so i dont need a custom config?

in a few days should arrive my genuine ps3 controller, will try it to see if the problem is because the dreamgear arcade fighter pad is based on a fake ps3 controller

today i got my genuine ps3 controller and all works great with kodi and de ps3 controller, even on bluetooth. that means that kodi 16.1 has problems with ps3 controllers labeled as gasia corp controllers (fake ones)
