Retrorama Comic Theme

@cyperghost , @spruce_m00se - at first, i was going to add the caroulsel where the logos are, but then i added the overlays to make it look old and dirty and i didn't want to heva a clean logo on top of it, so i put the logos on the images. i Tried some variations but didn't like the results, they're all too fake.

@cyperghost - i think that the menu itens can't be themed (at least on the older versions), they used to be black with ES default font, but i think that was changed on the last update.

I played around with this a bit over the last hour, grabbing some selected images for BOTH Retrorama and Comic Book. I of course grabbed images that matched my installed systems (ie. I may have a C64 image for each theme, etc). Two questions:

(1) I end up with a mix of launch images across my systems. For example, I might get a Retrorama launch image for one system, and a Comic Book image for another system... and yes this is regardless of which of the two themes I have set in retropie. Is the correct way to work with this to only download and have "active" launch images to match one theme at a time?

(2) Related to this, I can't seem to delete images and tidy this up. I see options to "delete local repository files" as well as "uninstall art", but in my first couple of attempts neither avenue seems to remove the installed images (even after a reboot). Am I missing something here in terms of the process to delete / tidy up / manage images?

Running retropie 4.2 with just-updated retropie setup script 4.2.12. Latest theme updates today as well. Hardware is a Pi3 B with a good power supply. Keyboard and PS4 controller attached via USB.

is there a plan to do a Odyssey2 / Videopac and ResidualVM ?

those are the only systems that i have that are not in your great theme.
if it is not hard to add them that would be amazing, if not i under stand it takes alot of work.

your theme is still beautiful

@exarkuniv Yes, right now i'm remodelling the layout and fixing some things, but i'll be increasing it with more systems. i'm mostly doing what people asking, i'm not following any schedule or anything.

Welcome @lipebello . I usually dont see this thread. since you agreed to share your work (I asked you on youtube), it is doing really well. Thanks for all the hard work. I really like it and from the looks of it the Community likes it too.

@lipebello Hey. Some nice adjustments made on this update. Larger video/game art is always a good thing ;)
Just waiting on a PC Engine SuperGrafx theme in a forthcoming update (hint, hint).
We're a little spoiled for choice with themes now, but I think this one is becoming my favourite. Great work.

Fingers crossed that this will be included in the GitHub repository for ES themes. :) It would be a breeze to update with the quick update script. If not, it's ok too! It's well worth it. My main theme right now, no intention of changing.

@lipebello Haha, I already knew about this one because I'm subscribed to your channel! :) Here's some quick feedback about it:

nitpick: length... I personally love video splashscreens that keep it under 15 seconds. To give you an example, here's what I'm using right now (the first 9 seconds of this video)

PRAISE: OMG THE GLITCH EFFECT AT THE END. This is the coolest thing I've yet seen in a splashscreen and I want all my splashscreens to end this way now.
