Can't install RetroPie

Today i bought a brand new Raspberry pi 3 and decided to install RetroPie on it. Sadly i can't install it because of an error.

Pi Model or other hardware: 3
Power Supply used: 2A Micro usb
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.2
Built From: https://retropie.org.uk/download/ clicked the button Raspberry pi 2/3
USB Devices connected:
Controller used: Snes usb controller
Besides the controller the ethernet cable is connected.
Error messages received:

Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):

Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable)

How to replicate the problem: I simply followed the guide and inserted the microSD into the brand new raspberry pi 3. Then getting the errors from the picture. I keep getting this error when starting RetroPie for the first time.
I'm not very technical.

Badly written image or bad sdcard. Did you try another card?

@buzz Thanks for the answer! I tried another Power supply same error. I performed the same steps written in the guide of RetroPie and used the image from the site. I'm getting a new SD card tomorrow, so I will test that tomorrow. The shown error has something to do with the SD card and not the raspberry itself?

@urbandarkknight Write exactly what you did and how you did the things listed. Also, 2.5A needed for Pi3. The process is fast - Format Card correctly, Write the correct image, Insert and Boot. Break down the stages on here and leave out no detail.

I first downloaded RetroPie from this link https://retropie.org.uk/download/ . I took the right button (Raspberry Pi 2/3). I extracted the downloaded file.
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ . Downloaded and used the SD card formatter to format my SD card.
Used Win32DiskImager to put the extracted image from step 1 on the SD card.

After this I put the SD card in my Raspberry Pi 3 to get the error.

I also tried using a 2.5A Power Supply, but with the same error.

@urbandarkknight Sounds good. So is your card on this list? http://elinux.org/RPi_SD_cards

@rbaker Thanks for the SD link. I could see not all cards are created equal for RPi compatibility. This link should be part of the "Read Me First" before posting for help.

@urbandarkknight The Pi3 needs a 2.5A PSU anyways which even says in the link you posted and also there are some SD cards that doesn't work which you should let us know which one you have or showing us in a image because sometimes you could of bought a knock off card as well which does tend to be faulty and will not work.
If you want one that works great and all i would suggest getting this one cause i used that on my Pi (32gb version) for about a month till i ended up getting a SanDisk Ultra 64gb card (because all the games i own that i play on my Pi comes to 38gb) and normally for those errors it is usually the SD card and not the power source as for the power you would get a little lightning bolt icon on the top right hand corner letting you know that you're not using enough power.
