I think they need to put a limit on buying quantity. I'm guessing ebay resellers are snapping loads of them up, there going for $30 plus on there.

well at the very least the pi foundation is going to be cranking them out again in the coming months so hopefully the supply will catch up with the demand.

Unless things have changed I think all of the current authorized resellers still have a 1 per customer limit. I don't think that all the zeros are being snapped up by ebay scalpers.
What I think is that these resellers are the actual scalpers, by only offering very, very few of the $5 zeros, with the bulk of their stock being sold as part of a padded "package".

Those packs will be in stock for quite a few days, and then sell out to those who'll give in and overpay for yet another set of hdmi adapters, cables, sdcards, power supplys and header strips, so they can get their hands on an actual zero.
