Megadrive/Genesis – resetting ROM memory?
-
I have a rom that has a previous save on it... is there a way to reset the rom's memory to it's defaults, as if it came right out of the box?
-
Go to the roms folder and delete the .srm file

@lostless Thank you for the quick reply. There is no .srm file though... I opened the .zip on my PC and it only contained the .md file.
-
@paulo75 he means the folder where the ROM is stored. You'll have xxx.zip and xxx.srm.
-
@pjft Yep, That's what I did. The only file in the .zip was the .MD file, nothing else.
The rom I'm using is Triple Play '96 (a baseball title). It has someone else's save on it.
Edit: I switched the emulator from pico to gen plus, and gen plus actually initialzed the memory for me (It was using Triple Play's font, so maybe the game did it?).
Bizarre.

@paulo75 I think we're talking past each other :)
The file will not be inside the zip. It will be in ~/RetroPie/megadrive (or Genesis).
