Please excuse me if I didn't search well enough, but I couldn't seem to find my exact issue. Here is what is happening...I format my USB drive, out it in my Pi. I then get the folders for roms so I place the rom in their corresponding folders. All is well when I boot up RetroPie and Emulation Station and all the games show. All the games are playable, and they play great.

Now when I properly shut down my Pi and go about my day the only roms that appear are the few I tested to make sure they work.

I have tested this twice now, the first time I started 1 game. Restarted the Pi and only that one game was listed in Emulation Station. The second time, I tried one game from each system (3 in total) and restarted only Emulation Station and again, just those 3 games were on my SD card.

If this issue has been , asked and resolved please just direct me to the answer and feel free to delete or block this post.

@rockinrado in the emulationstation menu do you have parse gamelist turned on? If so turn it off

That was it! Thanks so much. This is going to be a gift for my wife and I didn't want her to have to worry about USB's being plugged in.
