      So I have been using kids mode on my pi, but deleted it through the experimental packages menu because I was getting some graphic anomalies I just didn't like.

      After deleting it, I tried to reboot through the menu and after shutting down, I got this error:

      Usr/bin/emulationstation: line 21 : opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation-kids/emulation Station.sh no such file or directory

      How do I fix this?

      Running a 2B+ and updated recently, although I couldn't tell you what version I'm on.

        @SnipedintheHead I don't know anything about kids mode or how it operates so I was hoping that someone else might have a fix for you, but since your post has been up for awhile you might want to try this. It shouldn't hurt anything, and I think it will work.

        When you get the error i assume it exits you to the command line? Ether hook up a keyboard, or SSH in and type in the following;

          ~cd /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup
           sudo ./retropie_setup.sh

        This should get you to the retropie setup screen. From here you will want to manage core packages and select emulationstation. Updated from binary. When complete reboot.

        Again, not sure how kids mode works and how the system reacts when you removed it, i am assuming that by updating emulationstation it will redirect your startup script to the most current version of emulationstation.

          Okay so I try that, but it looks like the setup file was completely deleted as I get an error that that command is not found.

          So how do I reinstall the command file?

                  @SnipedintheHead always remember to never forget: Linux is case sensitive.

                      @SnipedintheHead we have all been there. Sometimes it is impossible to spot your own errors. No matter how many times you review it! Walk away, or ask a fresh eye to look.
