      Hello,

Please dont be put off by the spealing or grammar as englisl his not my fisrt language.
I'm using a raspberie pi2 b to run retropie 3.7. the setup consit of a keyboard and a xbox 360 pad.
all was fine until in mame, insted off the D pad being the default for directions, the left analog stick played that role insted!
I was planing to convert an Xbox1 arcade stick to usb in order to control emul station, and did so! The controler is working fine with retropie, recognized as an xbox one controler..... I can play and navigate fine except in mame where I canot use the sitck for directions!
it's probably trivial bit any help will be much apreciated, thanks i advance.

        Hi,

Although I can't directly help you at the moment, I'm hoping that some of the information I wrote in a blog post may be useful.

I have covered using PlayStation Dualshock controllers with the PlayStation emulator, and specifically looked at how the RetroArch menus can be used to affect how analog control is achieved.

I don't know which emulator you are using for mame, but assuming it's the libretro core (RetroArch enabled) version, this may help.
        Good luck!

          Hi
Not sure which mame emulator you are using but some do not use the controller set up from emulation station. You can try to press tab while you are in a rom or game in mame and and than use input general to configure the ps controller and that should work for all other games within mame once configured this way but will not affect the controller setup outside of mame.
