6 button controller for Sega Genesis emuator not working.
-
My controler works fine In the retropie menu and in the other emilators I have. Except my Sega Genesis one. I have 3 buttions working and I have done the configuration for both emilators (select X method) because I wanted to see if it was an emilator Pacific problem and it isn't. I am running retropie 4.2 on my Raspberry Pi 3.

@solderben I'm not at the Pi atm but I think you need to enable 6 button mode from within the RetroArch menu.

in the configs\all folder (\opt\retropie\configs or \retropie\configs on SMB share), change the below in the retroarch-core-options.cfg file
picodrive_input1 = "3 button pad"
picodrive_input2 = "3 button pad"picodrive_input1 = "6 button pad"
picodrive_input2 = "6 button pad" -
@jsawhite this can be done in game for picodrive. Go into rgui. Go into quick menu. Go into options. Change them from 3 button to 6 button. You can keep it on 6 button. I have not found a game that is affected by leaving it set to 6 button. Lr-genesis-plus-gx doesnt let you change it. And some games that use 6 buttons are working as 6 button and some are stuck on 3 button

Thanks. When my new controller comes in the mail. I will retry it though the retro arch menu. If that doesn't work. I'll just manually edit the config file.
