Emulator: pcsx-rearmed (default one)Hi I have been letting my 12 year old autistic son play blues clues on the play station emulator. It boots fine and plays at full speed. It appears some small parts of the audio is missing on the little cut scenes . I have tried a bin and cue and a eboot image. I tried messing with the audio setting in retroarch but nothing works. Can anybody help out. Am I missing something totally obvious to try.it does the same thing on the other psx emulator to. Thanks alot for reading my post.

It appears some small parts of the audio is missing on the little cut scenes .
Can you elaborate on that? Which parts play and which seem to be missing?

@beamquaker Certain PSX games can be buggy / laggy / have audio or rendering issues. They generally work well but nothing is ever perfect with emulation. If you want the real experience then purchase a PS1 plus the game. They go pretty cheap these days.
-
@mediamogul at the very start a video plays and Steve is talking and it is totally silent. When the game plays you get all the audio then when u play mini games you again get a video with no audio . So basically all the animation videos .
-
@AlexMurphy that might be a good idea as we struggle to find gifts he would like at Christmas.

The original Playstation accessed audio in a few unique ways for some games. You might try looking at the
.cue
sheet to see if everything looks in order there, but it probably is just a shortcoming of the emulation. -
@beamquaker what country/ region? What format? (.bin/.cue, .iso/.cue, or .pbp?)
-
@beamquaker i just tested with a u.s ntsc .pbp file and no voices.
-
@edmaul69 you only get one version of blues clues and it's NTSC . I tried bin and cue. One from a reputable pack and the other from a popular site. I tried pbp and no luck either. Thanks for trying it out. We might just need to live with the lack of voices at certain bits.
