@kmickelow we don't package Kodi - in fact it's now packaged in Raspbian by @Rascas .
It has already been updated to 17.3. -
I misread a forum post - it will be updated in the coming days - https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1166764#p1166764

I can speak only by myself, so Kodi only. It depends on the time available for us to compile, test and upload it. It is generally a couple of days only after an upstream release announcement. Probably tomorrow, it will be Kodi 17.3 which is now available.

Thanks you guys for the quick responses, so that being said under retropie setup and packages that install will be 17.3 in a day or 2... correct? thats good news :D
-
@Rascas and you speak for kodi, but in regards to retropie? or just kodi 17.3 being released at all? thanks

@kmickelow I am no part of Kodi Foundation or Team, I just make Raspbian compatible Kodi packages for a while now, and make them available for anybody that wants to use it in Raspbian based systems like RetroPie.
Kodi 17.3 is now available for update.
