How to disable configuration override?
-
@meleu Like I said do I type that in on command line? Cause I can't seem to find it. A visual aid would be nice to see.

@RedBatman I've re-read your OP. Looks like you have an issue with your NES configs...
My tip:
- install/update lr-nestopia from binary via retropie_setup (assuming you know how to use retropie_setup menus, go to Manage packages >> main >> lr-nestopia). After the update/installation, it will create the file
/opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist
. - In order to get the "factory settings" for NES emulators, replace the content of
nes/retroarch.cfg
with the content ofnes/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist
. This command can do the job:
cp /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg
If, after what I explained above, you still need a visual aid, you can use this link.

@meleu Well I did uninstall nestopia then reinstalled it yesterday so I'll give this a go again.
-
@meleu Also i typed this in yesterday.
sudo rm /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
i saw a forum someone said this could fix it but it didn't do much
-
@RedBatman reinstall retroarch from binary and you'll get that file back.
-
@meleu okay so uninstall then reinstall retroarch then first.
-
@RedBatman just an update should be enough, but you can do as you wish.
-
@meleu Well i did all of this and still get a configuration override on my bottom left. Anyway I can delete old configurations?
-
-
@meleu Does this mean I have to reinstall all of retropie?
-
I think I have figured something out. I had once used a save core override on nestopia and thats giving me the message, since when I use the other emulators they don't have the configuration override message on them.

I do not know why but suddenly I remembered a memorable sentence from Bruce Wayne [Batman Begins (2005)]:

Hey just quick question but could I use default cores or cfg by altering the files in Raspian Desktop?
