@CodeDrawer Awesome thanks for those links. I could just use my Cooler Master V8 and throw some thermal paste on there and call it good haha XD

I don't think I have any heat sinks laying around that would fit that. That may be a project for a later date once I've gotten some of the other parts working as I def do not want to burn out my Raspberry Pi.

I'm assuming I can just edit the text file with Notepad++ or something right?

@sirdevin I was thinking you could use the pi from terminal! :-D

N64 emulation is the next step :)

So what you do first is type

            cd /

that brings you to the root directory.

            then type sudo nano /boot/config.txt

then you will be using the text editor! :) That should be it. If there are any questions, let me know!

N64 emulation is the next step :)

This solved my issues with being unable to exit NES games using an Xbox controller and the choppiness playing N64 games. Thanks!

I cannot exit out of games anymore, i upgraded, now nothing i do will allow me to exit out of games. I have a rp 3 b+, select + start used to work fine until after the update, now i have to type in a user name and pw, (pi, raspberry) and I can't exit from the games, any ideas? shortcuts? keyboard exits? I reconfigured controller, using select as the hotkey, and using the center "mode" button as the hotkey... nothing.

@CodeDrawer This was the ONLY thing that worked for me, I setup the keyboard as a controller and set the f12 as the hotkey with Return as the Start key, while inside a game, I pressed F12 and Return and it exited out. I could not get ANY controller to respond with a hotkey, only the keyboard.
