    How to recover contents of retropie partition?

      Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make any progress and have come to accept that it'd probably be easier to do a fresh install. My question is: is there any way that I can access the retropie partition (either from my windows 8 laptop or my ubuntu desktop) in order to try to save the roms and save states that I have on the sd card?

        Have you tried an MicroSD card to USB adapter on your Ubuntu machine? The partitions should just mount normally.
