      is it possible to lower and raise the 3.5mm speaker volume for games and playing movies with kodi with your controller or the user interface somewhere. i'd like to set my 3.5mm speaker volume on the speaker itself up high but be able to turn it down and up with the controller buttons or retropie 4.2 UI somewhere. thanks.

        I'm going to give this a shot using this script which I previously used for quick reboots: https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/777ylv/how_to_map_a_controller_to_soft_reboot_your_system/

            i added the following lines to my controller autoconfig file:

            (/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig/<controller>.cfg)

            input_volume_up_btn = "h0up"
            input_volume_down_btn = "h0down"

            then <hotkey>+Up/Down on the D-pad becomes volume control for all libretro emulators. not sure about kodi though.
