Dreamcast Controller Mapping Support

  • Hi All, I just installed Retropie on a Pi 3. I got pretty much everything working except I can't get my controllers to run. The VMU screen comes up and then I can't move. I have uninstalled and reinstalled already once. I updated the mappings and the controllers and then scripts to ensure the emu and controllers mappings where all linked together correctly as per the wiki guide. I am using the 8bitnes30 controllers. I'm just at a loss. Not sure what other steps to take. Thanks.

  • I'd like to help, but first let's start with the info in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first then we can go from there.

  • I would really appreciate the help. Thanks. Here's the info:

    Pi Model or other hardware: (B, B+, 2 B, 3, X86 PC etc..) 3
Power Supply used: (If using a Pi) 2.5V
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.2
Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used) retropie-4.2-rpi2_rpi3.img
USB Devices connected: Logitech Wireless Keyboard (K360)
Controller used: 8Bit Nes 30 Pro
    Error messages received: None
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide)
File: (File with issue - with FULL path)
    Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable) Reicast[1_1499001069337_controller_8BitdoNES30Pro.cfg](Uploading 100%) [0_1499001069337_emu.cfg](Uploading 100%)

I think that is all the information I have. I tested in evdev and verified the control and mapping. Not sure of next steps. Thanks again for the help!

  • Hi All,
Is there anyone out there that could help me try to troubleshoot my dreamcast controller config issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
