Pi Hut USB Controller?

Has anyone used these before? I just bought 2 of them online today. Can't beat the price and the reviews on their site look good. Thoughts?

got one myself that im recycling into my portable project not bad for the price but out of the box it has a few issues unless theyve been recently fixed namley the following
PCB can flex on the bottom right side due to no internal supports meaning rapid presses of ether B or A somtimes doesnt register(fixed this by hotglueing a plastic spacer in the case)
default abxy Buttons have ridges on them that can dig into your fingers after a while not the most comfortable experience fixed this by sanding them down to round em off
other issue i seem to have is special moves in games like street fighter can be difficult eg a hadouken is hard to pull off as it somtimes doesnt register a direction/diagonal/direction series of inputs this is probly another flex issue in the pcb though didnt look to much into fixing that as only 4 games i played had these input requirements and i mostly use a different controller anyhow
that being said the controller is dirt cheap and it does work cant fault it there its simply elt down bya few design flaws that are easilly fixed assuming they havnt revised the controller since i bought mine if i had the cash id definitly get an 8bitdo controller but for a no thrills cheap controller fix it aint bad

@blackshadow cool! I use PS4 controllers as my default but want a simple controller for my kids. They will be playing nes/SNES/master system for the most part so these should do the trick.

Just a suggestion: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-940-000138-F310-Gamepad-Blue/dp/B00CJAF3ME
This one is ~3 times more expensive, but I think you'll be getting a much better quality controller for the price. The presence of extra triggers and analog sticks is good too if you kids want to move on to PS1 or N64 games at some point. ;)

@felleg thanks, my oldest is 4! She is playing seaseme street and little mermaid! My plan is that when she is ready for psx/n64 I will have a new ps5 or whatever is next and the PS4 controllers can be dedicated to retro gaming. I also have a full size and bartop arcade setup....so I am just looking for a nice entry level controller that is easy to use and cheap!

Sounds reasonable enough. :) Let us know what you think of the quality of the controllers you bought once you get them!
-
yeah I've got exactly the same ones! I can't believe it took you this long to get them, I only just bought a Pi a couple of days ago and I've got them!

I have a couple of Buffalo-branded controllers just like those. They work great and feel solid. My only "complaint" came when I was playing Metal Slug on my PC using an Xbox360-style controller. It was MUCH easier to aim/control with the analog sticks than when I was using the D-pad on the RPi3. If the SNES-style controllers die at some point I'll likely replace them with controllers that have analog sticks for a better "arcade-like" feel.

@Starcade2084 Cool, I have 2 ps4 controllers for my main use. These are for my 4 year old. I want something basic, easy to use and cheap for her to play seasame street and little mermaid with. She has a few good years before is ready for analog sticks! I also have this: Post with my Donkey Kong 3 Cabinet and I am currently working on a TMNT bartop arcade for my office as well, so i have plenty of authentic controls for my arcade, FBA/Capcom/Neogeo games!
