Is there a spreadsheet saying which PS1 games work and which ones don't? Thanks!

@mikel I don't think there is, but I can't think of a psx game that I have had issues with yet. Are you having issues with specific games?

@TMNTturtlguy Not exactly. I'm getting a Rasberry Pi 3 and was just wondering if there were games I had to look out for when getting Ps1 games on the system.

@mikel psx works really well on the pi3. I am sure there are a few exceptions, but I have had a lot of good luck. Be sure to read through the docs when setting everything up and it should go fairly well for you. Good luck!

Most games should work... Might find the odd US game that will not work like Parasite Eve 2, and there's a few japanese games with anti-mod protections this emulator doesn't circumvent. It'll be games you probably won't play.

I started a thread a while ago here

So far Iv'e found a few games with issues, most of them just graphical or audio errors, but don't effect gameplay.
Things like in Metal gear where a graphic effect doesn't work properly and looks like the screen is melting in some cut scenes. Or Spyro 2 where the audio just drops out during cut scenes. Others have had issues with Final Fantasy 9 crashing somewhere on disk 3. I think thats fixed with the paradise eve hack turned on. Driver just crashes when you restart a mission.
Just install a gane you want to play and see if the game works out for you. I find most games run just fine.

@lostless Nah that didn't fix anything for Parasite Eve 2 US. Whatever fixes are out are for other protections that were in the EU and Jap versions.

@Darksavior I was talking about Final Fantasy 9. Ive read, as I've never played more that one hour of that game, that it crashes somewhere on disk three. supposedly the paradise eve hack fixes this issue in that game. don't know for sure.

Psx works really good on pi3. I've had far more issues with Sega platforms.

Only downside is that Psx games are rather large (over 500 MB) compared to most.
