PS2 USB Adapter not working.
-
Hi,
I've recently purchased http://amzn.eu/0ALw8LL one of these and am able to plug in PS2 controllers fine and set them up ok initially, however when you get in to a game, they respond for about 5 secs, then the controller just stops working.
Its fine when i use my Xbox 360 controller plugged in direct through USB.
The adapter is listed in the USB devices on the Pi as "Personal Communication Systems, Inc. Dual PSX Adaptor"
Anybody able to assist at all?
Sorry if this is a duplicate, but i was unable to find anything in searches i did. :(
Thanks for your time.

It's always a hit or miss with these. There's tons of different kinds on the market, from which some work and some don't. Even if you buy two same kinds, other one might be good, while the other is broken.
First of all, this adapter you showed doesn't have Player 1 and Player 2 written on the controller ports. Default in these is usually, that the Player 1 port is the one on the left, however, some of these devices has them mirrored, so that the Player 1 port is actually then one on the right. So, put it to the right port, try out that firstly, to see if it works. I bought similar kind of device a week ago and it had this sort of issue.

Ah... Thanks DD_Indeed.
I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see how it goes.
