So I'm completely new to this, and an artist (not a programmer) on top of it, so forgive my basic question here...

A lot of what I want to add/mod in emulation station or retropie calls for access to the /home/pi location according to online tutorials or forum posts (themes, splash videos, etc). I understand what to do once in that folder, but my question is...

how do i get access to that folder?

I'm connected to my network, can see it in Samba from my PC, but I just cant seem to find that /home directory. When I connect to \retropie, the only folders I see are /bios, /configs, and /roms.

EDIT: I've tried using Putty but command line is not a strong suit of mine either.

I'm sure this is something super simple and my complete lack of networking knowledge coming into play, but can someone point me in the right direction.

      thanks!
      marcus

      i'm running v 3.7 on rbp 3

Use WinSCP instead to get access to those folders.

        Download Page: https://winscp.net/eng/download.php

        Don't sweat it.

I take it your on a Windows PC? If you are WinSCP or Filezilla is what I would recommend.

The login credentials are the same as Putty.
