@jacobjub you need to post all the info the link is stating you need to post so we can help you easier. Otherwise we are playing a guessing game to your setup and what you have or havent done.

@jacobjub What emulator are you using, what version of Retropie, etc. what rom... Say step by step what you did... or else we have to make a bunch of assumptions.

@jacobjub when I run a .d64 rom, I do so through the vice emulator on retropie 4.2 with a raspberry pie 3

It loads straight to the blue C64 screen and auto loads the command
Load "*",8,1 (when then loads, and the system automatically inputs the command 'run' when ready).

There were a few games on the C64 that would not load with that command. If your rom is one of those, then it will likely not run on retropie vice, unless there are ways to change that setting.

If you are seeking further help, it would be best for you to share all the info asked for by @simonster and perhaps post a video of your issue.

@jacobjub as stated above. When you select a game in emulationstation and you get to the blue screen, just wait. It will eventually load. If that was your problem good. From there people can help you with anything else. I personally use lr-vice. I have had no issues with it at all.
