Runcommand config location for arcade emulator choice

When I select specific roms to use specific emulators, like RomABC use lr-mame2003 and RomDEF uses lr-fbalpha emulator. Where do these config options get saved to? I don't see any .cfg files in the rom folder at all.
I want to make a backup of whatever files this creates and can't seem to find them.
I'm on EmulationStation v2.5.0RP, and Retropie 4.2.13.

the file you are looking for is /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulators.cfg
