How to configure hotkeys on generic N64 USB controllers.
-
Hello all,
I can't for the life of me figure out why I'm unable to use hotkeys for my N64 emulators. I've watched several tutorials and read through the various documents regarding this but no luck.
The best I was able to do was setup the controller to exit the rom by selecting Z "button 8" and start "button 9" unfortunately though pressing Z for whatever reason also restarted the instance of my Rom overwriting whatever other functionality that button provided.
Here is where I made this change.
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig
input_device = "DragonRise Inc. Generic USB Joystick "
input_driver = "udev"
input_r_y_plus_btn = "2"
input_r_x_minus_btn = "3"
input_l_btn = "6"
input_start_btn = "9"
input_l_y_minus_axis = "-1"
input_up_btn = "h0up"
input_r_y_minus_btn = "0"
input_a_btn = "5"
input_b_btn = "4"
input_down_btn = "h0down"
input_l_x_plus_axis = "+0"
input_l_y_plus_axis = "+1"
input_r_btn = "7"
input_right_btn = "h0right"
input_l_x_minus_axis = "-0"
input_left_btn = "h0left"
input_r_x_plus_btn = "1"
input_l2_btn = "8"
input_enable_hotkey_btn = "8"
input_exit_emulator_btn = "9"I have a feeling I've somehow enabled hotkeys on two different files creating a conflict but I'm lost as to where this is happening.
Any help in figuring this out would be appreciated.
Here are my raw files
