      So I grabbed a Dell 1908FP monitor today and installed my VGA666 hat and added the lines:

      dtoverlay=vga666
      enable_dpi_lcd=1
      display_default_lcd=1
      dpi_group=2
      dpi_mode=35

      Which as I understand is 1280x1024 @ 60hz, which seems to be what my monitor wants.

      The image is vertically okay, but about an inch or so to the left - so I have the image going off screen on the left side, and a black bar on the right. I changed some modes and had it to the other side of the screen but not centered. Overscan settings don't really do much.

      Is this an issue with my monitor being 5:4 aspect? I assumed that the monitor resolution dictated the aspect, so likely not.

      Have seen mention of a custom HDMI Timing where certain parameters adjust the horizontal alignment. Is this the route to go? I had trouble finding information on making them up. Do I just add a line with the timings I want, or is there more to it than that?

      Any help is appreciated, thanks.
