I wanted to take a crack at theme development and have had an idea stewing for some time. If you're like me, then you have a meticulous collection of artwork for your games, and I wanted to create a theme that showed it all off. These images are just mockups, but I was able to get a rough proof-of-concept working in EmulationStation. The inspiration comes from themes for Kodi/XBMC which use fullscreen artwork as the backdrop for each selection (movie/tv show/etc). This is my first time creating a full theme, though I have tweaked existing themes for myself in the past with moderate success, so any pointers/tips/tricks/advice is very welcomed!

Thanks, @greekmanx , I will try my hardest to make it come to life. I don't really have a plan for what to do with the system, carousel or grid views. Probably something fairly minimal for the system - I'll have to see if the carousel and/or grid views work with the concept I've got in my head.

I like it, what sort of concept have you had for the system select?

          Systems: Raspberry Pi 2
          Overclocked: 1050 | 525 | 350 | 425 | 256
My Themes: Metro Theme | Simpler Turtlepi | Future Mini

@omnija thanks. Like I said above, though, I don't really have a plan for the system view yet. I will probably stick with something minimal and keep the focus on the games rather than the systems.
