      Hoping someone can help.

Anytime I run the set up script, either on the Pi or through SSH I get the error:
'error running git pull returned 1'

I really don't want to do a fresh install, as I have my pi setup exactly how I want it.

I'd say noone has replied to you as you haven't supplied any information about your set-up.

@chizzer I had this same exact problem. Uninstall the Carbon theme, then update. Just make sure you are running a different theme before you uninstall Carbon. When you update it will reinstall Carbon. One of the updates over the summer had something weird in the Carbon theme folders. Once I deleted it I was able to update.

Same problem here - "Git pull failed" message (sic).

I tried uninstalling the carbon theme but it did not fix it.

            I uploaded my log here:
            https://pastebin.com/RkLQqytS

It doesn't look like there's any error in there...

@rsn8887 Please post logs on pastebin or similar site. Noboby wants to download your file just to read it.

Never mind it was my own stupidity. I had made changes to the shaders directory that I forgot about.

Might be better to do a forced github pull -force in the update script to prevent this kind of error in the future.

@rsn8887 Yeah, there was a big massive warning in the log file.

@rsn8887 it was a non fatal error in this case. I prefer that over a force pull.
